Here in southern Oregon, we are experiencing unprecedented heat, drought, and severe fire danger.
We are reaching out to friends and community for vital support to help load and transport Animals to safety in case of emergency evacuation.
Our Tortoise and the Hare Sanctuary is located outside the town of Ruch in the Applegate Valley. We care for fifty Residents, including special-needs endangered Desert Tortoises, Rabbits, Turkeys, Chickens, Roosters, Dogs, Cats, and a 72-year-old Amazon Parrot. Our Sanctuary also provides refuge for native Wildlife.
