We are a teaching and practice community following the tradition of Zen Buddhist monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. In keeping with his view of Buddhist teachings as a Tree– alive and growing while remaining directly connected to its roots – We understand ourselves and work as new leaves on this ancient Tree, we see ourselves and work as one of many leaves.
Kerulos’ organizational structure conforms to and is comprised of a conventional Board and Stewardship Council. At the same time, we endeavor to be non-hierarchical, inclusive, and adaptive to optimize our ability to plan and make decisions which are timely, ethical and effective relative to our mission.
