Sebastian is ten years old. He is a Sulcata Tortoise whose lineage hails form Africa. Tragically, he and thousands upon thousands of Sulcatas, as well as other Reptiles, are captive born, bred, and sold. Not only do they live in depauperate situations (boxes or terraria), but since they mature to over 100 pounds, are quite large, and exercise their rightful self-governance, people who have bought them don’t want them anymore. We are honored to have Sebastian join the Desert Tortoise Family. He is a sweet, brilliant and loving person. It is notable that Sulcatas do not brumate.
