Kerulos is a teaching center committed
to Earth and Animal liberation
through contemplative and nonviolent activism.
Our Center is rooted in the traditions of Thich Nhat Hanh – a renewed,
revitalized Buddhism in harmony with Nature.
During his meditations in the forest,
the Buddha discovered the eternal unity beyond appearance shared by all beings.
He learned this by listening to the wind, tasting the ocean’s breath,
and watching the leaves unfold.
This insight and his experience of the qualities and values he saw embodied by
Plant and Animal kin became foundational to his teachings.
Mindfulness and meditation became the path
for bringing human consciousness into alignment with Nature.
This is Nature Consciousness.
This is what we teach.
By changing how we think, we change what we do.
Contemplation, in non-mystified language is merely the ability to meet
Reality in its most simple and direct form.
